Auditioning for an opera in concert form
~ ...how to be effective while standing still...~
Special guest soprano Duane Printz, Founding Executive and Artistic Director of Grattacielo Opera (http://www.grattacielo.org) and tenor Francisco Casanova, will listen to young singers and advise them on how to prepare and audition for opera performances in concert form.
Ms. Printz, founded Grattacielo Opera in 1994, and since 1997 has been producing operas in concert form, annually in New York City, from the unjustly neglected Verismorepertory.
Among the singers of international renown that have appeared with the Grattacielo Opera are American soprano Aprile Millo, and Italian tenor Lando Bartolini.
This workshop will take place at the Shetler Studios located at 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor, New York City, on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of September, from 1 to 5 PM.
The cost of this workshop is $80.00.
Auditors are welcome for a fee of $20.00
