What is Singing? Why must we sing? What resides in that thing we call music? What makes it irresistible? What draws us to listen to music, or, better yet, to participate actively, producing it either with instruments or through our own bodies?
VeraMusica, Ltd., more than a place in which to look for answers, is a place to ask questions. When one believes, as we do, that once out of contet, nothing can remain true to its essence, questions and possibilities present themselves as to the real nature of the phenomenon and its unambiguous truth. In this search for the truth, there are always many more questions to ask than answer to be found.
This exploration can be fascinating, nourishing the souls of those who search. Looking for our own voices—both physically and spiritually—is why we formed this space called “True Music, or VeraMusica, for those wishing to examine the motive that one day made us get up to leave all else behind in search of this truth.
Music, when true, is a vocation—a calling that beckons from our deepest selves. Once answered, nothing else matters, nothing else heard. You must listen to IT; you must examine patiently the cause of that calling, go wherever it may direct you to go asking no questions, and trust that the search itself will protect you from your own innate fears or those instilled by the medium in which you were raised.
Discrimination, close-ups, headlines, five-second memory span—even the wonders of the mind—are only part of what the true human experience is really about. And it all can be very helpful, at moments, in giving us a hand at achieving certain primary goals, or in helping to organize ourselves so that we might prepare for greater challenges
The larger goals in the human experience reside in the composite of all truths surrounding us. How they come together and interact depends on the need of that particular moment. Hereto the importance of concentration, as we take small steps that will eventually lead to the realm of greater understanding and realization, however insignificant those small chores may seem at their given moment in our lives.
Discrimination and context must not exist without each other. The Truth is in the Moment when IT ALL achieves Balance. And Balance may only be achieved by taking ALL into consideration, in its just measure, within the larger composite that is LIFE.
